My first geotagged photos

So, I’ve just uploaded some of my first geotagged photos to Flickr. Truns out it’s also pretty easy to see them in Google Maps – thanks to Google’s support of free and open standards, in this case GeoRSS. Here’s a link to my Flickr photostream in Google Maps. That’s how it looks in the browser:

    Great,

I am just thinking to buy the N2 di-GPS mini for my Nikon D200. Just one question: Did you work also with their software?

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi Harald,

No, I didn’t use their software – I simlpy didn’t buy it. And I didn’t buy it because I didn’t believe that it provides any functionality worth paying for it.
As far as I can tell it allows you to produce a KML file to load to Google Maps and you can do almost exactly that with GeoRSS feed from Flickr.
That software would be a nice free addition to N2 but to buy it? I don’t think so.

    Cheers,
    Piotr

I’ve just found something interesting – PhotoMapper seems to do exactly what di-GPS-2map does, but it’s free and GPL’ed.
